Marietta Gormezano was born in Istanbul and sat at the piano at the age of four. Three years later she entered the conservatory, and a major scholarship later took her to Stuttgart, where she studied with Prof. W. I. Ong and Vladimir Horbowsky.
She went on to give recitals in Turkey, Germany, Austria, England, Hungary, Switzerland, France and Israel, appeared on German radio and ZDF television, performed at international festivals, and taught master classes in Denmark, Turkey and Spain.
After making her home in Israel, she won first prize in the Ministry of Aliyah and Integration's competition for outstanding newcomer pianists. For decades she has given her voice to Brahms, Chopin and Beethoven. Today she is sharing her own.
